Earning Points
Every check-in at a verified cafe earns you points. Points are your currency in the CafeRadar ecosystem.
How to Check In
- Open CafeRadar near a cafe
- Tap the "Check In" button on the cafe page
- Your location is verified automatically (within 200m)
- You earn points and a loyalty stamp (if the cafe has a punch card)
Point Values
- Check-in: 10 points per visit
- Review: 20 points for a written review with rating
- Photo upload: 5 points per approved photo
- Coffee scan: 1 point per scan
- Badge unlock: Bonus points for achievements
Streaks
Visit any cafe on consecutive days to build a streak. Longer streaks earn bonus points. Miss a day and your streak resets.
Spending Points
Cafes that display the green "Points Accepted" badge let you spend points for discounts. Before checking in, choose a discount tier:
- 50 points = 5% off
- 100 points = 10% off
- 200 points = 15% off
- 500 points = 25% off
You receive a redemption code to show the barista.
Levels and Achievements
Earn badges for milestones: 10 check-ins, 50 check-ins, visiting 5 different cafes, trying 3 brewing methods, and more.
