What is CoffeeDNA?
CoffeeDNA is your personal coffee taste profile. It tracks your preferences across five dimensions:
The Five Dimensions
- Roast Preference: Do you lean toward light, medium, or dark roasts?
- Flavor Notes: Fruity, nutty, chocolatey, floral, spicy
- Brewing Methods: Espresso, pour-over, cold brew, French press
- Origin Regions: Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil, Kenya, Guatemala
- Milk Preference: Black, oat milk, dairy, alternative milks
How It Learns
Your CoffeeDNA builds over time based on:
- Check-ins: Where you go tells us what you like
- Reviews: Your ratings and comments reveal preferences
- Coffee scans: Scan coffee bags to log what you drink at home
- AI Barista chats: Tell our AI Barista what you enjoy
Better Recommendations
As your profile grows, CafeRadar recommends cafes that match your taste. A cafe that sources the same origins you love, uses your preferred brewing method, or carries your favorite roast level will rank higher in your feed.
Privacy
Your CoffeeDNA is private by default. You can choose to make it visible on your profile. You can delete it anytime from your settings.
